About the Wellington Pumpkinfest Weigh-off

Date: Saturday, October 14th, 2023
Time: The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. The weigh-off of Giant Pumpkins and vegetables begins at noon, and the Awards Ceremony is at around 3 p.m. or when all the vegetables have been weighed or measured. We are back at our original location prior to COVID-19.
Location: The Weighoff is held at the CML Snider Public School, 240 Main St., Wellington, ON. (Parking Lot) Watch for fun activities throughout the village, and see the schedule tab above to check out all the fun activities.

The Pumpkinfest Committee is happy to welcome you to "The County" and the 26th annual P.E.C. Pumpkinfest and Weigh-off 2023 in Wellington on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

For the big vegetable growers out there, there is a giant pumpkin and vegetable weigh-off this year, and it will be hosted at the CML Snider Public School, Wellington, ON. (Original weigh-off location) You are welcome to pre-register, but not required; click here. The entry fee to register is $30.00 (4-H members are free to enter). You are welcome to pay the day of by cheque, cash, PayPal, Friends and Family or e-transfer j.vincent@xplornet.ca. See the home page for the paperwork and the prize list.

Pumpkins are unloaded starting at 11 a.m., weigh-off to follow, and a growers lunch is available.

When does the parade start, and whom do I need to contact to book a spot to participate?

Parade folks start to line up on Belleville St., Wellington, ON, near the Wellington District Community Centre. You do not need to book ahead; show up prior to 10 a.m. to participate. Mike Harper (see contact info above) is the contact above if you would like more information. The parade follows west along Main St. from Belleville St.
